We look forward to seeing you there! Angela Angela M. Reeves, Ed.D. Licensed Professional Counselor Masters Social Worker License President, GACA Don’t forget our December 6, 2016 meeting! We will be at Kettering University and our topic will be “Human Trafficking”. There have been questions about whether this session will satisfy the Human Trafficking requirement for counselor licensure purposes and we believe it will. The presenter is a Michigan State Trooper who serves on the Human Trafficking Task Force and has some familiarity with the required content areas identified in the legislation. As is true of many concepts, one session typically scratches the surface and provides a basic overview. As counselors, we are uniquely positioned to identify possible victims, and act to address the issue. We need to know much more and we especially need to know how to effectively advocate for possible victims! We are very excited about this introduction to Human Trafficking and hope that it is the first of several sessions addressing this topic. Please be sure to RSVP on the website before November 29, 2016. I look forward to seeing you on December 6th at Kettering! Angela Angela M. Reeves, Ed.D.
